Part 3, Chapters 61-64 Summary

In February 2019, the Mail on Sunday prints Meghan’s letter to her father. Harry’s father and brother discourage him from launching a legal battle, although both have sued newspapers in the past. Visiting his brother alone at Nottingham Cottage, Prince William describes Meghan as “difficult,” “rude,” and “abrasive.” Following Harry to the kitchen, Prince William takes hold of his brother by the collar and pushes him over. Harry’s necklace breaks, and he lands on a dog bowl, which shatters and cuts his back. A few minutes later, Prince William apologizes and asks Harry not to tell Meghan about the incident. Harry agrees. When William leaves, Harry calls his therapist and tells her about the argument. He intends to keep his promise to his brother. However, when Meghan sees the marks on his back, Harry tells her the truth.

The Palace announces that the Sussex and Cambridge households won’t work together in the future. Harry and Meghan move to Frogmore Cottage and relocate their office to Buckingham Palace. Prince William calls Harry, complaining that Prince Charles and Camilla have planted unflattering stories about him and Kate in the press. Harry sympathizes, referring to a negative article that recently appeared about Meghan. Prince William becomes angry with Harry, stating that he also has “issues” with them.
