Personal Response Prompt and Discussion Question

What advantages and disadvantages are faced by the humans in Scythe as a result of their ability to live forever? Would you want to live forever? Why or why not? 

Teaching Suggestion: In Scythe, humans have conquered death. The pros and cons of this development are explored throughout the novel, particularly in relation to Mortality and Stagnation. It might be interesting to revisit this question after completing the novel.
