Gabby is throwing things around the house after seeing Mark with another woman. Not knowing what to do, Hannah just stands around with the dog in tow. Gabby yells at Mark, and he desperately tries to explain himself. When he gets close to Gabby, Hannah steps in and tells him to back off. Gabby tells him to take his things and go, so the women spend the next hour waiting for him to pack up and leave. Hannah realizes in that time that she never liked Mark.
When he finally leaves, Gabby and Hannah talk. Hannah knows that Gabby is still judging her, especially now, for sleeping with someone’s husband. Hannah tells Gabby that it is okay for her to hate Mark and the other woman. When Gabby gets emotional again, Hannah tells her to squeeze her hand when the pain is unbearable, and that she will absorb half of it herself.
When Gabby next visits Hannah at the hospital, Hannah shows her that she can now stand on her own. Gabby mentions that Mark has been very sweet to her lately, as well as busy with work things.
